‘Crafting Change: Pinch Pots and Freedom Dreams’ Workshop Led by Victoria Burgher
|C2.10, 115 New Cavendish Street
This workshop combines practical making of porcelain pinch pots with discussion of what we imagine a future free from white oppression and extractive racial capitalism could look like. What changes do we want to see and what steps can we take towards this? We will make pinch pots individually to start with and then work collaboratively so that by the end we have a set of pots that everyone has contributed to. The workshop is also an opportunity to simply benefit from and enjoy the haptic qualities of working with clay – a brief respite from the pressures of university life.
